Give the first week or the first month free. The member enters their card up front, is charged nothing until the trial ends, and rolls onto the full price automatically. Set the number of days per membership; leave it at zero to charge straight away.
A roster that stays true
Every member shows with their plan, their status and their next billing date — active, on trial, payment failed, cancelled or expired. It updates itself from what actually happened to the payment, not from what someone remembered to type in.
Failed cards handled for you
When a renewal fails, Stripe retries on its own schedule and the member is emailed to sort their card out. The membership is flagged rather than cut off, because most failed payments are an expired card, not someone leaving.
They can cancel without emailing you
Members manage their own membership — cancel, update their card, download past invoices — through Stripe’s own billing portal, linked from their account on your storefront. Cancelling keeps their access until the period they already paid for runs out.
Receipts send themselves
Every renewal emails the member a receipt with the amount and the next billing date, branded as your business. You write none of them.
No card processor? Still useful
If you collect cash or bank transfer, you can still run memberships here: you get the roster and the renewal dates, and both you and the member get an email before it lapses. Nothing is charged automatically — but nothing is forgotten either.
Sell other things alongside
